As part of the significant refurbishment at the home of The Living Room on Hosier Lane, we are temporarily moving to a pop-up location to ensure we can continue delivering our most critical services to people doing it tough.  

The Living Room will operate via a pop-up site on Bourke Street from Tuesday 14 June until works are completed in September. All other street-based, outreach programs and The Little Social will continue to operate as normal. 

Here’s a list of where and how you will still be able to access our programs and services:   

The Living Room  

  • Pop-up location: Westwood Place, Melbourne (behind The Salvation Army at 69 Bourke Street)  
  • Services available 
    • General Practitioner (GP), Nurse services, Social & Outreach Support, Naloxone training & Peer supports, Counselling/Dual diagnosis services, Fitzroy Legal Services (remote) 
    • A short-term, outreach case management model will provide people with access to health services, housing, legal support, care coordination and securing identification 
    • Some services will be temporarily unavailable during this period including material aid, fresh food, showers and laundry facilities 
    • Other services may be limited, by appointment only or accessed through tele health/remotely. 
    • Please chat to The Living Room team if these changes impact the services you may be accessing.
  • Opening hours 
    • Monday: 9.30am - 4pm 
    • Tuesday: 9.30am - 12.30pm 
    • Wednesday: 9.30am - 4pm 
    • Thursday:  9.30am - 4pm 
    • Friday: 9.30am - 4pm 
    • Saturday: 11am – 4pm
    • Sunday: Closed  

The Living Room closes between 12 and 1pm Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
