Have an impact that's tangible and practical by donating goods to Youth Projects. We’re calling out for items that are super practical, super helpful and on your behalf – super kind. Your donations will be used to support people experiencing disadvantage and homelessness.

Due to COVID-19 we have closed some of our physical sites and are requesting that all supporters contact us in advance to confirm no-contact delivery details.

What should I donate to Youth Projects?

During the current COVID-19 crisis we are calling out for donations of the following items:

  • Non perishable food & snack items (for care packs)
  • Clothing (assorted sizes)
  • Socks & Underwear
  • Jackets, sweaters & coats
  • Bottled water
  • Supermarket vouchers
  • Phone credit (all major mobile providers)

Due to the overwhelming response from our supporters (thank you!) we no longer require masks or gowns at this stage.

Rules of thumb

  • If you wouldn't give it to your friend, please don't give it to us.
  • When donating second-hand clothing items, we ask that they only be offered if washed and wearable.
  • All socks and underwear must not be secondhand or pre-worn.
  • Uni-sex/gender neutral outer wears are always good!
  • No toiletries or sanitary items that have broken seals or damaged packaging.
  • Please avoid branded work wear and hand-knitted items.

Drop-offs

Please drop off your donations between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday at our HQ (6 Hartington Street, Glenroy) or City site (7-9 Hosier Lane, Melbourne)

Due to limited storage space, we may not always be able to accept and store material aid for distribution to our friends on the street. If you are unsure, best to check in with us in advance.
