Disability Employment Services

Our unique Disability Employment Services program has been designed specifically for young people to achieve employment and education goals. We focus on what you can do; your strengths, interests and passions.

We have specialised Youth Coaches whose primary responsibility is working with each young person to tailor pathways to their goals and aspirations.

Some of our key supports are to:

  • Identify goals and vocational pathways: We have specialised Youth Coaches whose primary responsibility is working with each young person to tailor pathways using a strength-based approach.
  • Searching for work: We work with local employers across Melbourne to identify and create employment opportunities for young people. Local jobs for local young people!
  • Staying in work: We continue to support young people and their employer to stay employed until both are comfortable and confident to hold their own. If you are worried about losing your job, our Work Assist program can help you get the support you need to stay in that job.
  • Working with schools: We work with young people who have a significant disability or health condition who are in their final years of school to help make the transition of leaving school seamless. We can help you with work experience, job placements and help guide you through the employment market.

PLUS everything else...

  • Writing a resume
  • Preparing for job interviews
  • Gaining key employability skills
  • Workplace modifications
  • Advocacy
  • Support to external referrals
  • Assistance with work related licensing, clothing and training

We can help!

We want you to succeed and are here to help you meet your career goals. Our specialist team will stay by your side so you feel in control, remain confident and stay on the right path. That's exactly what we did with Billie, whose confidence grew leaps and bounds coming through our disability employment service - check out their story:

If you are currently:

  • Aged 16-25 years old
  • Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Have a medical condition or disability
  • Have the capacity to work 8 or more hours per week
  • And, live within 30 minutes of Broadmeadows, Coburg, Craigieburn, Epping, Glenroy, Greensborough, Preston, Sunbury or Whittlesea

Then we want to chat with you!
