Social enterprise

Our social enterprise cafes harness community goodwill towards social and economic sustainability and ethical business and invests profits to innovate and grow within a social justice framework – reaffirming our vision of young people being ready to launch into competitive job markets.

Cue, The Little Social

Est. 2020

The Little Social is a bespoke coffee bar powered by Youth Projects that not only brews the finest espresso and serves nutritious food but exists to empower young people to lead meaningful lives. By providing hands-on skills development and mentoring from industry experts, each young person has a platform to build their self-confidence, gain key employability skills, and genuine work experience in a supportive and judgment-free environment.

Customers are also able to create real social change by sprinkling kindness into someone else's day through our pay-it-forward initiative and anonymously purchasing coffee and food items for someone experiencing homelessness. An important element of our holistic, wrap-around connection to Youth Projects' community health services in Melbourne's CBD.

Our impact

Since opening our first The Little Social café in November 2020, we’ve been a little busy…

You can read more about in our impact in Youth Projects' latest Impact Report.

Pay-it-forward

Customers also have the opportunity to sprinkle a little kindness into their day by anonymously purchasing a drink or snack for someone experiencing homelessness or accessing Youth Projects' homelessness services through our pay-it-forward initiatives at our cafes. This is an important element of our holistic, wrap-around connection to our community health services.

Good2Go

Now closed, Good2Go was our original social enterprise that existed on the iconic Hosier Lane in the heart of Melbourne. Good2Go oozed that quintessential, inner Melbourne vibe without the pretense. It was a quiet sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of laneway busyness and heavily influenced by the laneways it made its home on. From the pop art wall decor through to homely, pre-loved furnishings that made each and every visitor feel at ease, and at home. Good2Go closed in early 2020.
