Over the past 12 month, our team at The Living Room have been collaborating with Launch Housing to help provide access to healthcare and social connection for people transitioning into housing, as well as pathways into long-term housing as part of the Melbourne Zero Network service coordination for the more than 250 rough sleepers in Melbourne’s CBD.

Today, we are proud to announce that Youth Projects has joined the Melbourne Zero Network – an alliance of diverse Melbourne-based businesses, brands, organisations and community groups publicly calling for change and taking practical actions to make zero homelessness a reality in our city.

You may have seen our ‘Love Letter to Melbourne’ in The Age newspaper, launching this landmark campaign to end homelessness in Melbourne.

We know Melbourne can be a world leading city in ending homelessness; but no one single person, organisation or sector can make this happen. We need meaningful partnerships and new voices to generate the community belief and desire for Melbourne to be a world class, liveable city for everyone.

As part of the Melbourne Zero Network, Youth Projects is helping to shine a light on our homelessness crisis while demonstrating that there are actions we can all take and broad support for public and policy change.

Join us in supporting the movement by:

  • Visiting MelbourneZero.org.au and adding your voice to the call for change
  • Find out how you can share a ‘doortrait’
  • Donate to help fund the crucial work of orgs like Youth Projects working to end homelessness
  • Plus a whole heap more on how you can help make Melbourne a liveable city for all.

Youth Projects continues to step up and do our part to ensure every Melburnian has a safe and stable place to call home.

Together, we can end homelessness.
