After 26-years of service at Youth Projects, Carl Roberts has formally announced his retirement and has stepped down from operational duties as our longest-serving Chief Financial Officer. 

Having started back in the mid 90s when Youth Projects was only a small, Glenroy-based operation, Carl has worked collaboratively with successive boards and CEOs, including taking on the role of Acting CEO on several occasions. 

During this time, Carl has also worked tirelessly to create the financial stability that has enabled Youth Projects to grow to where it is today - employing over 100 employees and services being delivered in more than 60 suburbs across Melbourne. 

“Carl has made a significant impact at Youth Projects during his 26-year tenure. Through his skilful leadership, he has been able to guide our organisation through some of its most challenging times” shares Youth Projects Chair, Melanie Raymond.

Melanie continues, “Carl lives the values we set for our team – integrity, accountability, dedication, kindness and decency, and leaves as one of Australia’s skilled and experienced operators in not for profit finance management - a field that has layers of complexity, regulation and shifting sands.”

After taking a few months to spend time with his family and enjoy a well-deserved break, Carl will commence a non-Executive role on our Board of Directors in 2022.

To lead Youth Projects through the next phase of growth and development a new Executive Manager of Corporate Services has been recently appointed.
