Instead of hosting (yet another) morning tea, this International Women's Day we've decided to take real action to make a real impact on the lives of women impacted by the digital gender divide.

Right here in Australia, there is a pervasive digital gender divide that we need to talk about. A divide disproportionately affecting women fleeing domestic violence. We see it every day at The Living Room - women fleeing unsafe situations with no means of digital connection to family, friends, or the services that exist to support them during this time.

"I left with nothing. Not even my phone. I couldn't contact my psychologist to help myself. I couldn't even contact organisations for help, for housing. A phone with internet and credit is so important for us females rough sleeping."  - Kate (Survivor & Living Room client)

1 in 4 people are still digitally excluded, disproportionately impacting different groups - especially women.

It's time to address this inequality and take action.

We're challenging you to help us to Crack the #Code and reduce the digital gender gap.

We are raising funds to purchase the necessary tech (like a mobile, access to a computer, and wifi) to connect women impacted by domestic violence at The Living Room.

The need is so strong that we're even backing ourselves in. For every dollar donated, Youth Projects will match it*!

Meaning... you can DOUBLE your impact in empowering women to access digital technology for each dollar you donate.

Every dollar donated to Youth Projects during the 24th Feb to 8th March 2023 will go towards purchasing tech equipment for women accessing The Living Room & the Women's Lounge

*Youth Projects will match donations up to $2,000
