After a two-year hiatus, CoAct's annual, national conference took place this week, with member organisations from across the country gathering in Brisbane to explore critical success factors of employment services, and draw on ideas and insights from within the network.

As part of the annual event, CoAct host the Gala Awards to recognise service excellence across their member network.

This year, Youth Projects was recognised across not just not, but THREE award categories for three seperate programs in our employment, training and social enterprise offerings.

The teams were recognised and awarded in the following categories:

  • Innovation Award, Celebrating excellence in innovation across the network (Youth Projects - Here4Hospitality program)
  • Exceptional Performance Award, Transition to Work - Consistently delivering high performance from 2016 - 2022 (Youth Projects - Transition to Work)
  • Performance Award - Disability Employment Services 5-star performance 2021 and 2022 (Youth Projects - Disability Employment Services, Calder region)

CEO, Ben Vasiliou, reflects on the accolades, "I often share how proud I am of the work that we do, but recognition on a national scale reflects just how high impact and successful our grassroots programs are in the community. It reflects the hard work, commitment and dedication of our crew, ensuring that young people are at the very heart of everything we do, each and every day!"

Youth Projects would like to extend a thanks and congratulations to other Members, Programs and Services across the CoAct network who were recognised for their impact, and nominated for awards.

You can read more about the impact each of these programs have created across the community in our 2021 Impact Report.
