Youth Advisory Group (YAG) Logo Redesign Competition – Terms and Conditions

1. Organiser
The competition is organised by Youth Projects Ltd, located at 6 Hartington Street, Glenroy, VIC 3046, Australia (ABN 68 149 618 486).

2. Eligibility
Participants must:

  • Be aged between 16 and 25 years at the time of entry.

  • Reside in the Wyndham, Brimbank, or Melton areas of Victoria, Australia.

  • Submit an original logo design created solely by the entrant.

  • Not be a current employee of Youth Projects Ltd, a contractor, or an immediate family member (parent, sibling, child, or spouse) of a current employee or contractor.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Youth Projects Ltd are not eligible to enter.

3. Competition Period
The competition opens on [Insert Start Date] and closes at 11:59 PM AEST on Thursday, 10 April 2025. Entries submitted after the closing date will not be considered.

4. Entry Requirements
To enter, participants must:

  • Create an original logo design that embodies youth leadership, empowerment, and community impact.

  • Ensure the design is modern, youthful, bold, inclusive, vibrant, future-focused, and simple yet striking.

  • Predominantly use the Youth Projects brand colours.

  • Submit the design in a high-resolution digital format (working file preferred, or high-res PNG/JPG). Hand-drawn designs must be scanned and digitised.

  • Submit the entry via the official submission form available at [Insert Submission Link].

Each participant may submit only one entry.

5. Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with YAG's values and mission.

  • Creativity and originality.

  • Visual impact and appeal.

  • Versatility for use across various media (e.g., social media, merchandise, event banners).

The judging panel will consist of representatives from Youth Projects Ltd and may include external design professionals. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Prize and Winner Notification
The winning entrant will receive:

  • A $500 voucher.

  • Recognition as the designer of the new YAG logo, which will be featured in future YAG activities.

  • Opportunities for portfolio enhancement and professional exposure.

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

The winner will be notified via email by Friday, 30 May 2025.
If the winner does not respond to the notification within 14 calendar days, Youth Projects Ltd reserves the right to reallocate the prize to the runner-up.

7. Intellectual Property
By submitting an entry, participants:

  • Confirm that the design is their original work and does not infringe upon any third-party rights.

  • Grant Youth Projects Ltd a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display the design for promotional and operational purposes.

  • Agree that, if selected as the winner, they will transfer all intellectual property rights of the design to Youth Projects Ltd.

  • Acknowledge that the winning design may be updated, modified, or tweaked by Youth Projects Ltd to meet brand standards, visual identity guidelines, and technical specifications before final implementation.

8. Privacy
Personal information collected during the competition will be handled in accordance with Youth Projects Ltd's Privacy Policy (youthprojects.org.au). Information will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

9. Disqualification
Youth Projects Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:

  • Does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  • Contains offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content.

  • Is submitted by an ineligible participant.

10. Limitation of Liability
Youth Projects Ltd is not responsible for:

  • Any technical issues or failures that prevent entry submission.

  • Any loss, damage, or injury incurred as a result of participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize.

11. Amendments
Youth Projects Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated via the competition webpage.
