How to book a Covid-19 vaccine appointment

Booking a vaccine can be done a number of different ways - by phone, online or even contacting a participating doctor's clinic, pharmacy or community health service. 

• You can book a vaccine appointment at a participating doctor's clinic, pharmacy or community health service through the vaccine clinic finder.
• Use the online booking system to find the closest vaccine appointment to you. You can learn about how to use the online booking system here.
• Or you can call the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398. For an interpreter, press 0.

Where to get a Covid-19 vaccine in Hume and Moreland

Who can walk in at any time

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people with a disability can visit any Victorian vaccination centre to get vaccinated, without needing to book an appointment.
• Victorian vaccination centres will ensure Auslan interpreters will be available. View Victorian Government Auslan resources and vaccine information for people with a disability or special requirements.

Please be patient and understanding while health professionals work as hard as possible to vaccinate you quickly and safely.

What to do before you get your Covid-19 vaccination

• Vaccinated or not, you should always before COVIDSafe.
• Consider other vaccines you are getting. Try to space your Covid-19 vaccine at least 7 days away from other vaccines like the influenza vaccine.
• Talk to your doctor about specific allergies, or if you have any questions, concerns or fears.
• Make sure your Medicare details are up to date.
• If you don't have a Medicare card - that's okay - Covid-19 vaccines are free for everyone.
• If this is your first vaccine, book an appointment or set yourself a reminder to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose at the recommended interval.

What to bring to your vaccine appointment

You should try and bring these things with you, if you have them: 

• a face mask
• any emails about your vaccination appointment (on your phone or printed)
• photo identification, if you have one, such as a passport or driver’s licence
• a Medicare card or Individual Healthcare Identifier number, if you have one. If you don't, that's ok.

If you or the person you are booking for needs additional support to receive a vaccination, disability liaison officers can help you.
