Nominate a young person Download Assets to Share About the Youth Awards: The Youth Awards 2025 recognise and elevate the creativity, leadership, resilience and impact of young people across Melbourne. Nominations open all through September, the awards are a powerful platform to highlight the achievements and the potential of the young people who are shaping our communities today and leading them in the future. At Youth Projects, we know that when young people are recognised, their confidence grows, their leadership strengthens and their ability to influence positive change expands. Our Youth Outreach data tells us that young people consistently cite confidence, motivation and achievement as top priorities. Plus, for the younger cohorts, early intervention programs focus on building self-esteem and recognition. That’s why the Youth Awards are co-designed with our youth advisory groups, to ensure they are led by young people, for young people and reflect what really matters. By showcasing their stories, we don’t just celebrate achievements, we amplify their voices and inspire the next generation of changemakers. Who is Eligible: Young people aged 12-25 years living in Melbourne are eligible for nomination. Self-nominations are welcome in most categories, and community members are encouraged to nominate multiple young people if they see fit.
