A bit about the role As the Team Leader Disability Employment Services (DES), you will develop and operate a high performing team, tackling youth disadvantage by supporting young people to address barriers to employment. The Team Leader works closely with the Youth Employment Manager (DES) to identify and implement strategies that will achieve performance that aligns with or is above National and Regional Average. This position is based out of our Glenroy HQ with outreach work across North Western and North Eastern Melbourne regions. This is a brand-new role, here are some of things you could expect to be doing in your first month: Achieving high performance across all elements of the service model, ensuring contractual compliance Leading in the design, development and delivery of innovative place-based work readiness activities and industry tasters Undertaking active Business Development and develop key stakeholder relationships Completing case management of young people (where required) Facilitating one-on-one coaching of young people Leading the development of employer and industry relationships to achieve sustainable job placements for young people Undertaking compliance monitoring of the team Developing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders Providing senior support with expansion of our youth employment models in other regions. Providing line supervision to a dynamic team to support their work and maintain a high-impact, service user focussed culture Conducting supported referrals across a range of domains Undertaking professional develop to grow within your role Work with the Youth Projects leadership team to implement business wide initiatives A bit about us We are an independent, registered charity providing front line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues. We also help those looking to re-engage with learning and employment. We recognise the complex and varying needs of the people we work with and go above and beyond, 365 days a year, to provide pathways out of poverty. Last year our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team, helped 15,288 people through face-to-face contacts at The Living Room, 1,243 young people through our employment and training programs and dispensed over 1.3 million safe injecting kits through our needle exchange program.
