Staff, service users/clients and families of Youth Projects will be officially joining the Midsumma Pride March in 2022 and YOU are invited!

The opportunity to march with Youth Projects will be extended right through form staff, to our partners, our families and most importantly - our queer clients/service users.

Our Diversity & Inclusion Committee are coordinating a suite of activities in the lead up to the march, include crafternoons with our Youth Advisory Group and at The Living Room for staff and service users to create signs and placards for the day.

Registration is essential!

If you intend on marching with us, you must register so we know how many people are marching with us (and we can ensure adequate health and safety planning around our attendance!) There are 3 ticketing options - please select whichever is most relevant to you and how many people you are registering.

About the Pride March

Over 7,400 marchers usually take to the streets down Fitzroy Street in St Kilda each year and over 45,000 people line the streets and balconies along the march route to show their support for the annual Midsumma Pride March.

In keeping with tradition, Dykes on Bikes precede the marching contingent, with the march itself led by Boon Wurrung Elders and a Rainbow Aboriginal Float along with the Premier of Victoria, Minister for Equality and the Creative Industries and Commissioner for Gender and Sexuality. Hundreds of young people, often amongst the most vulnerable within our communities, are placed towards the front of the march as a positive and strong affirmation for LGBTIQA+ youth.

At the conclusion of the march, attendees are led into Catani Gardens for celebrations and entertainment including DJs and live performances.
