About the Role

We're always on lookout for creative baristas and hospitality standouts that can not only brew the finest coffee but will bring a unique style to our social enterprise cafés, The Little Social located at The Alfred and Rosanna. 

These positions are not be your average roles! We want people who are masters at enthusiastic customer service and barista skills to help create a unique and socially conscious experience behind every purchase. 

You will be playing a critical role in helping us build an impactful social enterprise business whilst mentoring and providing hands on training for at-risk young people to set them on a path to sustainable employment beyond The Little Social.

Your talent, expertise and passion for high quality service will emanate through every customer. The role will bring high energy and motivation allowing for you to work autonomously with tasks at hand.

Your crew will be an eclectic mix of hospitality experts and youth specialists. And, your eagerness to craft exquisite coffee & service will be complimented by your desire to be part of real social change in the community.

  • Local travel to other sites may be required

    Must Have’s

    • Proven Barista and/or Hospitality experience (ideally 2+ years)
    • Valid Passport/Australian Working Rights
    • Police Check
    • Working with children’s check

    About The Little Social

    The Little Social is a bespoke coffee bar that brews the finest espresso and empowers young people to lead meaningful lives by providing hands-on skills development and mentoring from industry experts. Each young person has a platform at The Little Social to build self confidence, gain key employability skills and genuine work experience in a supportive and judgement free environment. Our cafes harness community goodwill towards social and economic sustainability and ethical business and invests profits into innovate and grow within a social justice framework - reaffirming our vision of young people being good-to-go into a competitive job market. 

    The Little Social (cafes) are powered by Youth Projects - an independent, registered charity who provides front line support to individuals and young people experiencing disadvantage, homelessness, unemployment, alcohol and other drug issues through a range of holistic and wrap around support services. Youth Projects is on a mission to provide high impact support, without judgement, full stop.
