You know the importance of keeping things moving while having five different plates all spinning at once all while partnering with leaders to provide them with HR advice. Working in a high paced environment will fill your cup, but you will also know when to put your hand up and ask for help.  

A bit about the role:

The Application Support Officer reports into our Systems Administration - Business Partner, and will work across all of Youth Projects' sites to provide system and technical support.

Here are some of things you could expect to be doing in your first month:

  • Providing technical support for system security
  • Maintaining the Microsoft Office365 environment
  • Maintaining Azure active directory
  • On boarding new users, Off boarding staff who are leaving
  • Attending team and site meetings
  • Sending updates to teams and the business about IT improvements.
  • Working with business leaders to scope needs of new systems
  • Managing the day to day Zen desk helpdesk tickets and prioritize them in line with daily business needs.
  • Supporting staff in completing Information security training
  • Telling the odd staff member “have you tried restarting?”
  • Managing the asset register (Lan Sweeper) to make sure it is up to date
  • Managing the deployment of hardware and roll-out of new applications
  • Maintaining the video conferencing rooms and ensure their smooth operation

We are an independent, registered charity providing front line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues. We also help those looking to re-engage with learning and employment. We recognise the complex and varying needs of the people we work with and go above and beyond, 365 days a year, to provide pathways out of poverty.

Last year, our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team provided 15,288 face-to-face contacts to people via The Living Room, supported 1,243 young people through our employment and training programs, and dispensed 1.3+ million safe injecting kits through our harm reduction programs.
