After 7 epic years as Good2Go, we are re-launching our social enterprise café on Hosier Lane as The Little Social in July 2021.

Good2Go was our very first foray into social enterprise business and launched at Youth Projects in 2014. Since then, we have served over 100,000 coffees, shared over 7,500 pay-it-forwards with people experiencing homelessness in Melbourne’s CBD and have created meaningful social and employment pathways for 45 young people.

In March 2020, we were forced to indefinitely close Good2Go as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold in the community and severely impacted hospitality businesses in Melbourne’s CBD.

As we start navigating our way beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, we are focussing on more collaborative and integrated approaches to our social enterprise cafes. Our experiences, successes and learnings as Good2Go has enabled the successful launch of our newest cafes, The Little Social.

The collaborative, new approach to our third social enterprise café located on Melbourne’s iconic Hosier Lane will integrate Youth Projects’ Disability Employment Services and The Living Room to strengthen our impact and provide life changing opportunities to hundreds more young people and people experiencing homelessness.

By re-launching Good2Go as The Little Social (Hosier Lane) we able to grow our core service model with a fresh and fit-for-purpose look across all of our social enterprise cafes and allow us to properly resume the trainee program that is as at the core of our social enterprise model.

Over the next few months, we will introduce additional layers of holistic, high impact support by integrating other Youth Projects services, including:

  • Launching an innovative, new training model that will support young people through 4 week and 12-month training programs and attain a Certificate III in Hospitality
  • Launching an additional training program specifically designed for young people living with varied abilities (Here4Hospitality)
  • Increasing our capacity to provide pay-it-forwards, material and food support to people experiencing homelessness in collaboration with The Living Room

The Little Social (Hosier Lane) will be the third café to open within the past year and will join the other two cafes currently in operation at Rosanna Train Station and The Alfred Hospital.

The Little Social (Hosier Lane) will open at 8am Monday 05 July and operate between 8am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Follow our journey and impact on Facebook and Instagram and know that every dollar spent at The Little Social is creating real social change.
