1YP Day is one of the most important (and fun) days on the Youth Projects calendar. Its a day where all of our frontline warriors and changemakers come together, reflect on our enormous achievements over the past 12 months, celebrate our peers and pause to connect with one-another.

This year we'll also be welcoming many new faces to their first ever 1YP Day, including members of our Youth and Consumer Advisory Groups!

Registrations are ESSENTIAL!

This is a free event, exclusively for Youth Projects staff and special invitees only. All staff are strongly encouraged to attend on the day and should chat to their manager to discuss movements/rostering.

Values Awards, Employee + Leader of the Year 2022

Each year, we set out to recognise and celebrate our peers through the peer-nominated Values Awards, and the Employee & Leader of the Year Awards. And, this year is no different. Shine a spotlight on the unsung MVPs walking amongst us.

Nominate any one of your peers/colleagues at Youth Projects who you think deserve a shout out, who live and breathe our values, for their impact and tenacity or a real solid by being the epitome of everything Youth Projects stands for. You can nominate as many people as you like, for as many categories as you like.

Getting there

The Victorian Pride Centre is centrally located and accessible in the heart of Fitzroy Street, St Kilda. We're working towards becoming a carbon neutral organisation, and we strongly encourage you to car pool, use public transport or consider greener ways of getting to 1YP Day 2022. To plan your journey, here's a helpful little guide: pridecentre.org.au/how-to-get-here/

About the venue

The Victorian Pride Centre is the first purpose-built centre for Australia's LGBTIQ+ communities to connect, support and amplify LGBTIQ+ voices, resources, services and groups so that our communities are cohesive, resilient and thrive. It is a place to pave new directions for LGBTIQ+ communities, while honouring and celebrating their brave – and at times difficult – past. It is home to practical and supportive services and will grow into a destination for visitors from across Australia, and beyond.
