What is it?
The Youth Northern Outreach Team (YNOT) provide outreach drug and alcohol treatment for young people aged between 12 and 25 years delivering services in the city of Yarra, Banyule, Darebin, Moreland, Hume, Whittlesea and Nillumbik.
A forensic outreach service is also available for adults with legal issues providing a supported path for individuals transitioning from youth to adult services and is the only ourtreach based service available for adults in Melbourne's north.
The Youth Northern Outreach Team (YNOT), a Youth Projects program, provides personalised, confidential outreach counselling, support, education and referrals for individuals dealing with alcohol and or other drug abuse or dependence problems.
Our experienced team understands that every individual has different needs and therefore takes a personalised, tailored approach to develop goals and an Individual Treatment Plan with clients.
YNOT delivers non judgemental treatment with a harm minimisation approach.
A holistic approach
As a Youth Projects program, YNOT has direct links with other support services including a pharmacotherapy prescribing doctor, employment, education and training services.
YNOT provides a holistic service to support young people to achieve their individual goals.
Outreach in schools and the community
Youth Projects has a commitment to the ongoing development of early intervention and prevention strategies and provides drug and alcohol education and support to local schools and community groups.
YNOT be in Charge is a drug and alcohol education program developed by Youth Projects in accordance with the Australian Government’s Principals for School Drug Education and is currently being delivered to local schools.
